The exhibition "Wars on the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia – View from Inside and Outside" is a unique collection of war photographs by photojournalists from the territory of the former Yugoslavia and international photojournalists who took photographs of the wars in the territory of the former Yugoslavia in the period from 1991 to 2001. The exhibition covers the photographs related to each individual conflict in the territory of the former Yugoslavia: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, NATO intervention in Yugoslavia, Macedonia.
The photographs are exhibited by 15 photojournalists, including 9 photojournalists from the countries/territories where the wars occurred (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro, Macedonia) and 6 foreign photojournalists. The photojournalists invited to take part in common exhibition realisation are professional photojournalists who covered all wars in the territory of the former Yugoslavia. Each of invited photojournalists selected several photographs which, in his opinion, best presents the essence of the wars in the territory of the former Yugoslavia. The selectors of common photograph exhibition (Veton Nurkollari, Marija Gajicki, and Smiljka Vukeliæ) selected 90 photographs that comprise the exhibit.
